It does take time...for other clubs as well. The market hots up on deadline and people cut corners to speed things up..Everton do this as well. Some medicals take place in Europe and then the players flies here to sign, or signings are done abroad and papers sent over electronically or any other instant method. Go on other teams forums and you'll find supporters complaining about how long some transfers take...it just takes that long, that's all.
