Yep. That's the problem with him - big lack of commitment to the game. Like Gibson, I often wonder how many injuries are actually legit with him.

Hadn't noticed that. But I think anyone who likes to carry the ball great distances (which Wenger encourages at Arsenal) leaves themselves open to more challenges and therefore more injury.

Here we have Barkley to do that. He's a great distributor of the ball, Wilshere. Just what we need. Maybe restricting him to that in an Everton shirt would cut down on the chances of injury.

Not me, noticed it that is. But made sense.

Brahimi was released from the selection of Algeria to " sign for his new club ".

Galatasaray is the most likely destination for the player , said the Algerian press.

...surprised it's Galatasaray given the noises over recent days. The only thing was he seemed a more conventional winger than RK is looking for. We'll soon see.

I have always like Wilshere, the footballer.

A year here, away from the London scene and Arsenals wrecking ball Injuries Prevention Unit wouldnt be the worst idea in the world. Like you say, on form/fit, he is a very good footballer.

Didnt him and Fabregas own Barcelona in their pomp a few years back?

Wilshere is in the Gibson category for me - talented actual footballer, not fit enough to actually play for any length of time, and his commitment to being in the best shape possible is very questionable.

A cheap loan with the option to bin him off if a disaster won't harm. Needs an option to buy though just in case.

Mate of mine who lives in London said he saw Wilshere in a club in the bogs asking all and sundry about buying beak.

Jack is a talented lad for sure but is attitude and commitment to actually playing is incredibly questionable, don't need a Gibson Mark 2.

I see some Wilshere talk, is this legit sourced or just conjecture based on the fact he's available?

IF he can stay fit, he's an excellent player (albeit a bit of a douche), would certainly push Barry for his place.

A fully fit Wilshere(if that is possible) in our midfield, or a comparable player, would really make us a very potent team.

I don't think we need a lot of players, but, we do need some very good ones.
We need to sign a good striker.
We need to sign a good creative midfielder.

Apart from that ,we have a strong and talented squad.

Goals..pleasantly surprised with Stekelenburg and Robles is adequate cover.
Full backs, Baines Coleman, Oviedo and Holgate, with Pennington and Browning as cover when they return from injury.
Centrebacks, Jagielka, Williams, Mori and again Holgate, Pennington and Browning

Wingers, Deulofeu, Lennon, Bolasie and Mirallas,

Central midfield, Barry,Davies,Gueye,McCarthy, Barkley

Creative midfielder, none

Striker, Lukaku, Kone(not of the required class).

If we fill those two areas I think we have done well.
I'm not convinced we have strength in the FB department or out wide, tbh. We have a lot of bodies, but not a lot of quality to step in.

Cant see Galatasaray getting Brahimi. They wont let him leave on loan and I doubt Gala could afford the €40mill Porto want. Plus its a shocking league, where players go to retire.

I've heard some pretty out there shouts before, but Victor Anichebe???...seriously???? this place has gone mad, heads have totally detached
...Victor Anichebe FFS!!!!

I would like to apologise and admit that I may have been the source of this lunacy - but I really was just taking the piss when I said his name lol
