Part the problem in these windows is Sky. They promote rumour, hearsay and downright lies, while doing so they milk punters for all they've got by offering attractive odds for a none event..................that is corrupt as they profit all the way to the bank in the assured knowledge that the punter has backed a none starter

Pretty sure Sky don't own Sky Bet tbh.

Palace just signed a striker today?

West Ham have had a £42mil bid knocked back today for a player they've been after all summer.

Not just us mate.

Utd isn't a reasonable comparison. Sorry.

I think we will bring one in. I'm sure of it.
But ask yourself this: Is it ideal to be waiting this long for so many positions? I understand it's a tricky market and the business we've done so far is very accomplished. Do we have a striker in yet though? No. Therefore, by it's very definition we have failed thus far.
Suppose we are debating the english language rather than anything else. Let's get back to dreaming of Messi at FF tomorrow.

Clubs are either taking us to ransom knowing we have got money or we haven't coz moshri has stuck it all towards the stadium lol lol lol

Na we will sign players ( I hope )

But it's getting a little frustrating to say the least

I can't say I have an awful lot of sympathy re Gabbiadini and certainly won't be making any excuses if we pull out. We may not have been at fault in this instance but we have waited until 28 hours before the window shuts to get to a position where we have made a decision with him. You shouldn't be leaving things this late.

We may get out of jail tomorrow. We may get the players we need in order to maintain a position in the top 6. The lesson needs to be learnt though hat this shouldn't be repeated as it leaves too much to chance. I'll pop a summary up over the next couple of days but I can't say I've been massively impressed.

This summer everyone knew we needed a new goalkeeper and backup to Lukaku as we can't go through the season with 1 striker plus Kone. We may have solved the goalkeeper situation on the cheap but the striker situation has not been addressed which is very alarming. As I've said we may get out of jail tomorrow and bring one in, but that really was a bare minimum of what we needed and a failure to do so would be very poor irrespective of the other business.

On top of that another centre half and a central midfielder wouldn't come into the category of "need" but they are quite important. I would be surprised if we have added all of the above by tomorrow and I can only put that down to people within the club not doing their jobs if we don't.

Agreed mate.

I can accept factors falling into place outside of the clubs control that necessitate leaving it until the last minute to do more business, as far from ideal as that is. In saying that, it's acceptable only if we are still active today/tomorrow.

It's tempting to begin the post mortem right now but I guess the patient is still alive, if probably on life support at the minute. Things may still turn out ok and just best to see what unfolds now. I was hoping we would get one in now as at least that would take the sting out of tomorrow but it's looking like coming right down to the wire.
