I do worry that come thursday morning that kone is our back up striker.
We have failed at a least 2 strikers in a week, can't be too many left on our list to sign now with 24 hours notice.
wonder if we bring in mario gomez then as back up?
I wonder if that means we have moved another deal forward or recognised that this just won't happen?
a) not surprised, we are probably only looking to get one forward in and want it to be Gabbiadini but Napoli might fail to get a replacement, pull the plug late tomorrow night and we are left with nothing.
b) or we have secretly snared someone else in the past hour and no longer want him!

As of yesterday we were looking at 2 alternatives in Italy, not heard anything since.
Actually mate, we quite clearly haven't 'failed' on Gabbiadini if we've made the decision to move on now rather than leave it until 10.50pm tomorrow for Napoli to pull the plug
He's just signed for Wolfsburg
Whilst I admire your optimism all of the time Toff, we have by definition 'failed' to bring in a striker.Actually mate, we quite clearly haven't 'failed' on Gabbiadini if we've made the decision to move on now rather than leave it until 10.50pm tomorrow for Napoli to pull the plug
if we haven't signed him then it is a failed transfer either way. Beat realistically it is two strikers in a week we have not got despite being interested in. Now with only a day to go, the only names that come to mind are....
Bony, massively overpay for slimani and........Shane Long
whhhhooooosssshhh
went over me that one lol Good signing for them

That can't be denied.
Thing is mate our fans act like if it isn't in t he papers it's not happening.
I'm sure we have about two or three players potentially lined up for each position.
IF Di Marzio is correct then we may have simply moved on for the time being to put pressure on Napoli to hurry up themselves.
