They have loads for his position - Ozil, Ramsey, Santi Corzola, Ox Chamberlain etc. Can't play them all.

The board didn't want to get rid of Martinez. The fans forced their hand.

I think Koeman will do better and finish around 6th-8th assuming we aren't hit too badly with injuries during the season. At the very least I think even if we are below that the fans won't be quite as toxic with Koeman because of the way we play. At least now we look like we are trying and it's also only his first season.

the knock on him is that he doesn't want to fight for a starting spot. which is why the ajax move took so long as they have claasen in that position already. but his talent is undeniable, i reckon a good motivator like koeman could get the best out of him.
