I wouldn't be overly disappointed if we didn't sign anyone else this window.. IMO the intention has been there from the club and early signs are recruitment has been spot on...
We could have easily spent that magic 100m and ended up with 4 worse signings than Stek, Williams, Gueye, and Bolasie.
It would be nice to add some depth. I think we have enough at the moment to rest 4/5 players in the cup and still have a decent side but a few injuries on top could hurt us massively.
Because Zenit's boss has confirmed we made a bid and they accepted it, but Witsel turned us down.
People can't face that we were actually willing to spend money, and almost certainly still are.
I think it will be quiet and not just for us but for everyone.
We have a decent team, but a paper thin squad. That's the problem.
His own agendaBased on what?
Don't know whats worse on here, people moaning about transfers or people moaning about the moaning people on transfers
chill your bean lads, gonna sign some boss players before the window shuts BELIEVE
It isn't complex though mate: Stones was sold, we were told, so that wages are there for elite players. Yes, so far so good. But where are the elite players promised? They want high wages which are here for them. Moshiri and Koeman, we were told, would be the magnet.
Now if that has to be reassessed and stepped back from by the people making those claims they should clear their throats and do so if that window slams shut without significant improvement to our squad.
Are you intentionally getting the math wrong? It's -400k only calculating Gueye which was disclosed and 24 for Bolasie and 9 for Williams. The lowest figures conceivable/put out in articles you can find. We've recycled everything that came in of late. That was before Moshiri got here. In fact there was a net spend run up in the last couple of seasons.
We hava a billionaire in charge. Why, with squad space available and wages not a problem with the Stones sale, are we not seeing players in?
£3M negative net spend with just over a day to go in this window. I'm calling that an outrage right now.
