Didnt everton cancel kids day at ff tomorrow? Could be some transfer activity causing it?

We may sign someone yeah, no idea what's going on.

If we signed 4 then I'd be made up. I'll hold my enthusiasm until the day though lol

Let's look at this rationally. We've knicked the manager from a team who have finished above twice in the last season. We've poached the head scout or DOF whatever you wanna call it from the league champions. Do you think that would have happen with the old guard still in charge? We can't attract the players we dream of due to our poor league placings and lack of European football. The statement of intent has already been applied by pinching Koeman and Walsh from teams with a supposed higher standing in the Premier league. Not all players hold Everton in the high regard we do. They will learn though. Things are defiantely on the up as we will see this season and probably before deadline day.

Koeman himself has said that it will take at least two years to be able to attract the top players to Everton (in Saturday's Times)

It's true. Not even Leiscter Kidderminster themselves they could.

We are essentially on the same par as West Bromwich and Stoke and the like. We need to get somewhere before any great player will be tempted. But after the three games so far I'm confident we could threaten to do it

Ron said in his post-match chat on Saturday that Stekkers has earned the right to be the no.1 keeper and while a new GK would still be incoming before Wednesday it would be as cover, providing competition for the spot. I just can't see that GK being Begovic, surely he would only come to Everton if he was given an assurance about being the new no.1 here? Why come to us to sit on the bench and have to take his chance in time?

He wouldn't be backup. Begovic is a fantasic keeper.

we signed Lukaku when he was on international duty with Belgium. It's irrelevant

We signed him on loan, much easier to sort.

Stek has been fantastic for us... I think they should rock, paper, scissors to decide who plays when if that is the case
