Anyone else think part of the problem getting people in has to do with us failing at getting rid of all the useless tosh we've got still showing up to Finch Farm?

'Big guns'

It's been said a million times already, we can't attract top players, funds are available but we are not an attractive project at the moment after finishing 11th in the last 2 seasons under el fraudo. It's up to Koeman and the squad to finish this season as high as possible, hopefully among European places. The profile of the club must be raised before it can attract top targets.
Spot on !

Moshiri.

I'll give them all I have.

Maybe it should have been "I'll give you all I have after you get £48m in for Stones"?

He didn't say he'd give them all he has though Dave.

He said he'd pledge additional funds to the squad to keep our best players and add more.

So far the only player we've sold, we've got a world record fee for and he didn't want to be here.

Let's be honest. We know there's going to be nothing on deadline day because in the next few days he will announce a new stadium on the docks and we won't care about signings.

That's not the reality of the situation though - the club is going all out currently to bring players in before close of business on Wednesday - there's no suggestion of "we go with what we've got".

Given the activity levels, with a fair wind (ie nothing untoward) I'm expecting 4 in before close of business.

If we can get players like Gueye for a relatively small fee and they fit Koeman's system then happy days. It's not about playing the right way but winning games.
