Because none of us actually know for sure but a lot are happy to make sweeping statements accusing everyone at the club at being amateur, so really there are no smoke and mirrors.

Just panic about things nobody on here can control.

Exactly. I cannot understand fuming over a player going elsewhere. I would sooner know now than them disrupt the squad. And nobody knows exactly who we are targeting. We will have loads of leads and enquiries but only Koeman/Walsh know for certain who our targets are.

It is a blessing we are not getting Perez.. a striker turning 28 next month with one good season. On paper Naisse looks a much better player although I doubt that is the case. Think we will only get one new striker in if we keep Lukaku and for that kind of money there are better players.

It's the most competitive mate definitely. Anybody can beat anybody on their day.

Spain isn't like that - though the majority best players are there (split between two clubs mind, Griezmann apart).
Athletico done a great job considering the dodgy circumstances they did it in .

But it's an odd one, Spain is only really 5 or 6 teams then the rest just drop off massively. Villareal (booooo) Valencia and Sevilla are good teams themselves then after that you can't really pick out any club thst is good.

Compared to here and even last season , surprise winner apart, there is 4-5 clubs including us that are much better than the equivalents over there. So nearly half the league is good enough to win it if they could be consistent enough

Why? Why aren't we changing the wage structure. Very small time.

We are paying Williams a reported 70k p/week.

Bolasie 90k.

Before that our current top earners were Lukaku (75k - will almost certainly get offered the new deal come September) and Baines (70k).

So quite clearly we are.

And you're again falling into the trap of 'offer him more money, that'll mean this player that is 27 playing for pretty average clubs all his career and has been offered the chance to go to Arsenal (one of the biggest clubs in the world) will chose us instead of them'.

Also, are you seriously suggesting we pay a striker who (while looking decent) has had one very good season but would be brought in primarily as back-up, 100k+?
