Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I foresee no more incomings till deadline day and pages of angst and woe as folk panic.

Vault me if I"m wrong.

Relax until deadline day and stock up on booze to either celebrate an ace day or to drown your sorrows.

I tend to agree, and I think that's a dangerous place for Everton to be. You don't want to be reviewing your options on the final day with the realization hanging over your head that finishing 8th this year won't make the next two transfer windows any easier.

It's got to that point in the window where agents, clubs and players are playing a game of chicken. We've all been here before and know how it works. Chances are nothing will happen till deadline day when there'll be three incomings and one outgoing.

The numbers are just guesswork, but probably won't be far off.
Agree with this, most of the time the money spent by clubs on deadline day alone dwarfs the rest of the transfer window.

Mate we'll finish top 6 with this squad under Koeman.

We don't have time to spend? Yes we do there's a week left. Get adequate back up in and start looking for a new striker for summer during this season
New striker? You obviously missed the point. We can't sign another Rom even if we had the money. Whatever happens we have lost the chance to break the top 4 with him or a striker like him and a striker is the hardest position to fill. It would have been easier getting the players to support Rom this season.

I think 5th-8th is the realistic range, and I'd even go as far as to say reaching the Europa League is almost a 50/50 proposition. But that still means half the realistic outcomes makes the job of acquiring the desired talent no less difficult.

What are you on? We werent getting top4 we finished 11th. Yearh a striker is a hard position to fill but it doesn't mean we can't sign a decent striker for if rom gets injured.

None of them had Howard or Martinez tho... And I bet they even did fitness training and set pieces
And that's the big Unknown. As I said the squad isn't awful but we could have done with a few more and it's disappointing it has looked like Moshiri is unwilling to invest in the squad this season. I don't think anyone if they're honest really disagrees with that.

Of course it doesn't mean we can't sign a decent striker but how many realistically get 20 goals a season. That's a lot of goals and assists to find from the rest of the team once Rom leaves requiring substantially upgrading every position.
