Seem to me early doors the The Stek is - a) Rated by Koeman and b) better than anybody we've had for the last 2 or 3 yrs. Thus, given City messing about with the 7M, the rumoured high-ish price, Hart being a tit anyway etc. I'd be inclined to wait until the deadline...If Koeman is keen...while City think about how they like having an expensive extra keeper on the books.

Koeman will know what he will or won't pay...we may just move on

He rates Stekelenburg but not as a first choice. Koeman would not make the step up from Southampton to Everton, and take his old no.2 goalkeeper with him to be his new no.1 goalkeeper.

There is no way we are starting the season with Stekelenburg as our first choice keeper, and nor should we.

His age isn't the issue for me. I just think he stopped developing years ago, and has arguably gone backwards.

Martyn was a class act his entire career. Easily the best Everton have had since Southall.

Be careful mate. You don't want to anger the super blooz from across the pond

maybe so; but up to now he's 3 for 3 for this season...you know, that season he wouldn't start...we shall see no doubt.

But that's his wages, why should city pay him to play for another team !?!

That £7m is a loan fee on top of his wages bud

7 million for an english national team keeper? thats surprisingly low!

That's just the fee for us to have the privilege of loaning him, before you even take into account his wages

I'd personally go for one of the German league keepers as they always seem to be good

I'd be surprised if the proposed £7m fee doesn't dwindle away the closer we get to the window closing, as it appears interest is equally dwindling.

Barring an injury crisis, it's going to be very unlikely for Joe to get a game at Citeh after tonight's last hurrah in a tie they're already winning 5-0.

So it'll be in both theirs and his interest to get a deal done, otherwise he'll sink into the Right Wright abyss until at least the January window.

From all accounts, he's not overly keen of going abroad which all but discounts the early Sevilla and Dortmund who wanted to sign him.

Our interest has waned because of the outrageous demands and I doubt the likes of Sunderland are going to fork out that much either.

Citeh may then either they drop the fee significantly or in its entirety or agree to cover some of his wage, perhaps a bit of both, and we'll move.
