It would be different if I thought he was likely to come in and be the best player in the team, but he's no better than the ones he'd be earning double over.

I was hoping to see Everton buy a 'keeper whose career is on the up.

That's fair enough, but an easy counter point somebody could offer is that he is still only 29....remember how good Nigel Martyn was for us? we could get Hart in and have a fine keeper for the next 5 years.

Not 100% swung on it myself if I am totally honest, but just trying to offer a calming viewpoint to this possible scenario.

Raises our chances of getting him here I reckon. If he plays tomorrow, no champions league clubs are going to be in for him and realistically they are the only ones who could afford him. Still reckon this will happen.

Im pretty sure he could still play for other CL clubs, this is just a qualifier.

He could still play in the CL as said due to this being a qualifer. I am thinking this could be to drum up some more interest in him from other CL clubs because there doesnt seem to be a whole lot of interest currently

I feel someone has stated the obvious Hart may now be 3rd choice keeper at City - it's up to him to put in a transfer request as he has no future there that's the only way his high wages can come down if he wants to play for any team?
That loan deal no club would pay that it's a joke deal IMO!

of course we can pay that. He is Englands Number 1 keeper, who else in our squad could command as much?

On what basis can you call him Englands No 1 keeper, wait until the next side is picked, You seem to have forgotten the ridicule received coming back from the Euros...............was Englands No 1 fair enough a bit like Gordon Banks was Englands No 1. Fat Sam gave him no guarantees to be picked in the next game all he said he wants to speak with him, funny thats how it started with Pep

It's just his wages so how is it a joke deal?

Hes the best English keeper available to Big Sam.

He will be picked, the only reason he WONT be picked in the next game will be cos he isnt getting games, going forwards, once he joins us, he will be Everton and Englands number 1.

Butland and Forster, even the boy at West Brom are good Keepers, but Hart is a level above them all.

If you don't want to pay star players over £100k a week we will get absolutely no where. Lukaku won't sign a new deal under that, neither will a playmaker that you want.

The sooner people realise this is the going rate the better.

If we don't go throwing money down the pan with Hart then we can afford the playmakers money with enough left over for Lukaku!
