Yes, but Kone is saying that he wants to leave now because he hasn't had a new contract offer as promised. He stated in the video, that they haven't give him what he was promised, but he wants to stay. The club are now calling his bluff.

Well yes in a way, or they're making it out that they'll do all that they can to keep him.

Think this may drag on a while tbh. I imagine both him and Bolasie will be playing for their respective teams tomorrow.

Might well have ramifications on any Mustafi deal too. Valencia won’t allow both to go, and Abdennour has been unwanted for some time. #AFC

Personal opinion is Valencia shouldn’t mess around on Abdennour. Take the money and run. He’s been dreadful and never truly settled.

He was very good in France mate. Think he played for Toulouse before moving to Monaco, where he was excellent.

Move to Valencia last summer but has failed to settle apparently, though I've seen nothing of him since his move. Valencia were crap all-round like.

I think they want to keep him but equally so I think he does want out and both parties are trying to make each other look like the bad guy... (a bit like the Lescott scenario)

Dunno mate, I know that phone interview was jarg but he said in that he wanted a new deal, and said upon transfer request he wanted and was promised one to force Sunderland's hand, now Sunderland are gonna offer him one.
