Risky strategy waiting until the last weeks of the transfer mkt. Getting in the players you target, and want might be more expensive at the outset, but being successful is good economy and it makes little sense if you have the money up front. The whole Summer appears to have been held up by selling Stones. That's how it looks. And generally the least complicated view turns out to be right.He'll be waiting for someone to become available. We may be waiting to see if City bring in a new GK before moving for Hart for example.

There was nothing stopping us from doing it unless the money wasn't there. STCC was sorted out by the sale of Stones.
I'm disappointed too but I don't think the reason we didn't get those players was because we couldn't. I think the reason is simpler. That is what we needed under Martinez however under Koeman I think he plans to play a completely different way.
More direct and on the counter attack with two flying wingers.
Ziyech highly rated on here. Not seen him myself. Talk of 10m offers on the table. If that good surely 15m thrown at them for him is worth the gamble ?
