Handing in a transfer request 2 days before the season starts, with a statement released. Coincides with a bid from another club who'd pay him more.

I know a few Sunderland fans, they are proper loseing they're heads about this.
Calling for the board to resign and all sorts.
One of the lads said he's the best defender he's ever seen at the club and they all rate him really highly.
Kone and Williams at the back will be Rock solid. It will be good to have a proper defence that actually defends.

Begovic is another Howard, ergo we cant get above mid table.

Slimani has loads of chances on a plate and reminds me of Andy Cole when he first went to united.

The feel good factor should be rock bottom judging by these forum posts the players wont be too thrilled either especially after seeing some mates left with no squad numbers and yet still at the club...

Then big mouth comes out and says theyre only 70% fit....

If we put this into business terms and a manager just saw the superstar young sales guy leave the company and hired people from shoddy companies + guy about to retire then i think people would be looking to leave.

I very much doubt it....fine lines mate. If we had got Leno, Koulibaly and Carvalho then we would look very solid in the spine but instead weve got Gueye and Stek so far who arent top players...just cheap squad fillers.

The realism now kicking in where were paying £18mil+ for someone who cost £5mil 7 months ago....£25mil on a headless chicken to play to the left of another one in Gueye.

Mid table this or worse...Koeman beginning his excuses already and yet people forget Unsworth had them pressing and dominating on a few days notice and this Koepat has had 6weeks.
