We haven't been dragging our feet at all. Please, get that out of your head.

We've been in discussions with our high profile targets that we wanted! We were willing to wait to get them over the line if needs be.

The 'sub-par' team we may put out on Saturday has a lot more to do with the last manager than it does the current regime

We have seen teams that get their business done early and have a team sorted for the start of the season. Everton have displayed a consistent pattern of not being able to get this done. I think it is bad business practices

Alternatively, when the others have shot their loads early, we are ready to come in late and pounce?

At this rate, with the fitness levels at 70% and lack of decent goalkeeper, CB, left side and forward, we'll be games down and points gone before we know it and playing catch-up.

Poor.

In my head (and i'm sure many other Evertonians), being taken over by a Billionaire would have been a bit sexier than it has been so far

In reality, it looks like pretty solid foundations are being set (established manager, respected head scout, rumours of a ground move etc)

I haven't really got a clue who's any good at togger anymore apart from the superstars - I just hope that we can unearth some exciting talent that makes supporting Everton even more enjoyable than it would be ordinarily

I trust Mr Koeman and Mr Walsh to scout and sign the best players needed for Everton Football Club - It's their job

It's my job to look at boring spreadsheets and drink tea - My hobby is watching Everton and experiencing the ups and down

Enjoy it - even if you have to take a step back - You're supposed to be enjoying this

Must admit to my disappointment at this transfer window so far.

It's not that I flat out don't rate the players we have brought in. Stekelenburg is a fine backup keeper, Gueye is potentially a good replacement for Mcarthy, and I am buzzing about Ashley Williams.

I just can't help but feel we should of had 2-3 top class players (within reason) in before the season began, especially a first choice GK.

But I'm now starting to believe that Stekkers is first choice and we aren't in for a new GK.... Unless Joel goes I just can't see us having three Keepers.
