Yep, assuming we complete on Kone, that just leaves a top drawer keeper now, and we're already a far better side than last season, as we'll stop leaking Sunday League level goals, and heaven knows, we might even be able to defend a set piece!

You are stating this as fact, Can you show evidence for this please

I think the gaps in the squad are getting filled and that needed to be done. Not sure on the Bolasie price but that seems to be the way things are going

I'm hopeful that towards the end of the window as some of the big name players (mata, witsel etc.) run out of "better" options we may see the type of signing we are all craving

We are still a club with no European football who finished in the bottom half the last 2 seasons so we were never going to be top of these guys lists

Patience my blue friends

It's frustrating that all of our current targets seem to be EPL players where we have to pay ridiculous fees. Thought with Walsh and Koeman coming on board and their knowledge we'd be able to find some cheaper gems abroad, but it seems to be only EPL players and well known players from abroad(Witsel, Carvalho). Players from leagues such as the bundesliga and French ligue generally come much cheaper, it's just about identifying the right targets. As Sunderland did with Kone for 5M from Lorient

Depends upon who you believe tbh. Have heard that personal terms have been agreed, but also heard that we haven't agreed terms with United yet.

It's possible but given we got close earlier this summer I remain cautious. Of course now United have a real interest on selling him so odds have moved more in our favour.

Will be delighted if it was done before weekend but not really expecting it just yet.

I just cant see it or who were he would fit in if we are buying Bolasie

I really don't think this is an impulse buy! I'm sure they've had targets all summer.

I always think of Everton as super tight with their money so they wait til the last week to avoid paying the extra wages!

If they weren't impulse buys surely they would of found cheaper abroad, especially for money value, Jese has just gone for 20mil or so to PSG, especially seeing as how tight we are, which isn't always a bad thing.

They are rush buying premier league proven players to start the season, but had to wait on the sale of stones IMO

Do you not think that adding Williams, Kone and a keeper worthy of the title - combined with working under a manager who actually has defensive drills on the training ground and practices defending set plays - wouldn't improve Evertons defence over the shambles that was Martinez last season?
