Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

I think it's pretty likely Rom hasn't said good things about us to him.
There's still a lot unclear surrounding EFC this summer but if there's one thing we can be sure of it's, unfortunately, that Rom would like to go.

Will probably stay for another season with a pay rise. We can't afford to let him leave now it's almost August.

What really worries me is not just the Witsel situation, but all are transfer as a whole. Why are they all taking so long.

Kouliboly - could end up at Chelsea.

Witsel - could end up at Juventus

Carvalho - haven't heard nothing.

Mata - looks like he's staying put.

Begovic - chelsea haven't even been looking at a keeper.

Have we really been waiting to sell Stones to Buy. And if so things really haven't changed.

Don't blame him at all from the outside if it was a straight choice between us and any of the Italian teams that are in Europe you'd pick them unless like us you are a hardened blue nose.

Here is to him eventually signing and falling in love with the club as many many others have done and will continue doing.

If it's meant to be it's meant to be............. eventually.

Kismet..

Spot on way of thinking about it, pretty sure most of our 'idols' would never have signed for us if at the time they had a better option for the same or better finincial package

Would Cahill have came here if United would have bid as well - no chance on earth, would Baines have signed for us if Arsenal had offerd him the same deal etc, no chance on earth

Only time we have ever gotten a player ahead of these teams is like with Mirallas - when we offered him a much bigger role int he team than they had been willing too, now at least we can offer possibly better deals than some

At this stage I really hope he signs as we need some quality and other options aren't exactly jumping out.
If we don't make serious steps forward in the next 2 weeks we could be on course for panic buys.

Look at the clubs you mention, the clubs we are "competing" with for players.

Chelsea, United, Juve.

And ask yourself, if you were these players, would you wait and try and get a move to a team that wins Titles, normally competes in the CL or join Everton, a trophyless club for the last 20+ years who have finished 11th for 2 seasons.

Thats why its taking so long, these players want to join the cream of football rather than us.

Do you blame them?

Same old...hopefully this isn't the case.

It's all good and well waiting on these players but in the mean time can't we be getting on with signing a goalkeeper or a centre half which at this stage is more important anyway

Do what mate? Have an open and honest conversation with a group of fellow blues? Someone asks a question, I'm happy to answer. If it turns out wrong so be it.
ha ha fair play esk, but i have a feeling that most of our deals will be done more close to deadline day as with the likes of mata etc will move late on. to be honest there has not been a lot of movement between english clubs at the minute

Exactly this
I swear the only people who have issues with your openness are the ones who lump money on who we will sign next on the back of your posts
I love having an insight from you as to what may or may not be going on at our club ,and see it as a chat with mates in the corner of a pub . Nothing more, nothing less
