Short for TEFlon mate:

TEFlon is a brand name for a number of fluorinated polymers. TEFlon is polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE). This is a polymer with repeating chains of –(CF2-CF2)- in it.

EDIT: Just been sitting here mulling over your 'egg sticking to non - stick pan' mate, another scenario is you may have the pan too hot.
