Patricio, Neto, Leno, Cillessen, Begovic - good to see some keeper links....(however tenuous they may be)

Question though....have seen things (which granted could be utter jarg) suggestiong that if Witsel fails we could be in for Carvalho. Don't get me wrong, i think both are quality players......BUT they are very different players. Don' see why Witsel falling through would mean a move for Carvalho.

Could just be that Witsel is target A while Carvalho/Schinderlin are options B and C.

The fact we fired Martinez with a considerable compensation cost, we hire Koeman with a considerable compensation cost, we're looking likely to hire Walsh from Leicester with a compensation fee to pay suggests we have moved on very quickly from the Kenwright era.

Have we paid Martinez off yet ?

I'm not as convinced it's that important mate

Rather than one big signing, the best way to get top players to want to come here is to show we're a club on the up who are going to be financially backed with a new stadium down the line

Again, 3-4 good signings where we need them followed by a strong 16/17 campaign and we'll be immediately more attractive to the big name players

I can wait at this point. The two most important things for Moshri in the immediate future, in my opinion, are to get the stadium sorted and also to keep the good players we already have at Everton so we can start building something

That's always been our achillies heel. We've started getting a good team together and then we get raided. If Moshiri gives us the financial clout to hold off those raids, a manager can then actually start to build something and we can actually maintain momentum for once

If the days of losing a Rooney, Lescott and Arteta are gone, then I'm perfectly happy to be patient and let this gradual revolution take place

Yes, Stones may be off, but that'll only be if we get offered silly money for him, ditto with Rom

We really don't need a marque big signing. We just need to show that we have the financial might to not get bullied anymore. If we can end the days of "plucky little Everton" and instead make it clear that we're not simply a selling club anymore, everthing else will come in time

Never mind a "marquee signing" - I would be happy with a pop-up-tent-signing at the moment ...

People's opinion shouldn't be confused as the club's statement.

BK did say that Moshiri has a plan, but won't do an Abramovich. It will take time.
I think there was a lot of mixed messages. I'm pretty sure he also said his plan was to get us into the champions league and have us competing financially with the big boys.

I like your post and I agree but I don't understand one comment you made - How do you know he wants to manage Barcelona ? Everton will be fine and I can't wait to see what happens :)

I said he wants to manage Barcelona because that seems to be the goal of all ex Barca players who go into management - I dont know that for a fact but I think if you look at the list of world superpowers when it comes to Football Clubs Barca are in the top two and disputably no1. Why would that not be his aim? He has already had some big jobs but think if he does well here and gets us in to the champions league and competing for the league that is the type of thing that would draw the eye of the superclubs that we as of yet can only aspire to be currently.

I'm surprisingly "zen" about the whole thing in all honesty

Obviously, if we have a big fire sale of big stars and then don't replace them, I'll be going mad, but as of right now I'm very calm about the whole thing

To me, the minute Moshiri picked us up my first thought wasn't "We're going to sign loads of boss players and win everything" but rather "We're finally going to be able to keep our best players and actually build a strong team that can compete over time"

To just be able to be in a position where a Man City, Man United or Arsenal can't come in and take away our best player without paying way, WAY, beyond the odds would be a brilliant feeling. I'd honestly feel like we could do anything at that point. Just imagine where we'd be if all the players who left us had stayed and a manager could have actually built a team knowing he didn't have to sell players if he didn't want to?

So yeah, so long as Moshiri can give us that, I'm happy to be patient and wait for the good times to roll in

I don't need instant gratification. I've waited over two decades, what's a couple more years at this point?

Any info on Walsh or are you going by the papers?

Haven't Southampton sold all their best players again and we doubled his wages. I think that may have been enough to tempt him.

Announcing new deals for Barkley and Lukaku would go a long way to allaying my fears.
