He looked like he struggled with some of the abuse from the support early in the season and he could get just as bad at the Etihad as they will not have any loyalties to him right now. A bad sending off and couple of boo boys could see it happen. It isn't likely but it is a possibility based on what I saw last season.

Wish him best of luck. He'll be a great player and probably the best English CB ever. Not that it means anything, we can find better and probably will. Defenders- especially CBs- are supposed to defend. I prefer my defenders to be defence first, and I believe Koeman does too. So it's unfortunate that he leaves and I'm sure he'll have a great career but it's not the end of the world. As the Esk says we actually need this deal to happen.

Too much money for a potential liability at times. Good player, anybody who says different is being daft. But very replaceable and for 50m it would be stupid not to sell him.
