The facts our we've signed a crap aging goalkeeper, the Dutch Moyes, Stones and Lukaku want to leave.

We aren't getting out of the bottom half anytime soon. Hopefully Moshiri does the honourable thing and sells up. I can't see a man who makes his money enslaving Iranaian orphans and selling them on doing anything honourable however.
Boring

Would be £34m mate, that's what Chelsea reportably bidded however. (€40m).

It's reported we've bidded €45m, which is £38m. That'd make him one of the mist expensive defenders of all time. If we do get the fee we're after for Stones we'd be able to bring in Koulibay and have a £12m profit.
That 12m will go to Barnsley mate

Don't understand these Kasper links, why would he leave Leicester? Why would Leicester sell him?

Is the suggestion not that he has a release clause of around £17m? Him being willing to join is another issue entirely, although financially I'm sure we could make it enticing.

It would be great to see some movement next week, the Witsel and Mata signings seem to be turning into sagas.

I think everyone is feeling a little frustrated and anxious awaiting the first real signing of the summer. We could do with bedding in some key players early on in preseason, especially with it being Koeman's first season with us.

Anyway, fingers crossed for activity next week. Onwards and upwards blues

Yes, we need something about now, partly because we are desperately short of numbers for next season but also because, obviously, we need added quality to keep up with the rest of the league. Reasonably we should find out about Witsel one way of the other. Mata, if that´s even on, will probably take longer considering no one knows if the player even wants to remain in England.

There will be big moves for players soon, Koeman will be taking a couple of weeks to access the squad we have, a lot of our targets will have been on Holiday after the Euro's, they'll all be returning soon so deals can get done.

Just sit back and relax, and stop wetting the bed about no signings yet, they are coming, big time.

I would expect to see movement in the coming week now Koeman has had a week to assess his squad and players will begin to return from holiday after the Euros.

All transfers are sagas these days with most of the ground work being done well before the window opens. Our targets will have changed once it was clear Martinez was going. No longer Yarmolenko etc, but whomever Ronald desired once the agreement was in place for him to take over. Obviously the lack of European football combined with the media view still that of a Kenwright era makes it hard for the casual football fan to understand and appreciate what we are trying to do.

Of all the players linked so far Koulibaly is the most intriguing. If Stones is to leave in order to free up £40m+ wage restructuring, then a top tier Centre Half is a must. I would throw the entire Stones fee at the best out there should he sadly leave.

My only concern would be the African Nations tournament. How many important games have we lost thanks to that thing taking our players in the past.

Think we where thinking exactly the same thing :)
Cannot understand the lack of patience. I would sooner get it right than overspend on players who will not fit a proper system or form a solid team.

Could this be similar to Stones the need to sell to increase wage budget..

From memory, i think Leicester last season wages came in around the 47m mark so under the rules they are allowed to move instantly up to 67m this season - as thats the bottom line before the regulations of yearly increases start to kick in, so they can increase by 20m this season over last before it becomes any factor, not sure what happens if the make a player trading profit and if thats added to the 67m figue or goes onto the 47m though, someone with more clue how it works may know though

How much can Everton go up without selling anybody mate ?

With Zieler and Schmeichel Leicester has 2 quality keepers and maybe this i our chance to get Schmeichel as they've got already a replacement.
Schmeichel isn't a quality keeper mate. If his name wasn't his dad's no one would pay him a moment.

Just circumstantial he managed to sign for a half decent championship team and make a massive rise off the back of that .
