Can't believe I just fell for one of the oldest scams going :

Knock on the door, just as the kids start kicking off. There's a young lad at the door with a massive bag of houslehold stuff and a big ID badge on his chest. Explains very politely that he's an ex offender on a " placement " selling stuff door to door to help him earn a small wage and to help integrate him back into society. Mindful of the fact that the kids are trashing the house I quickly bought something off him for a tenner. Just had a look online, the thing I bought is worth three quid !

Anyone else gets someone like this at the door, it's a scam !
