You haven't been rude in the slightest my good man. It's quite normal for people to disagree about football related matters. I'm just pleased in this case Ronald / Monchi and I are on the same page and Darren will be given another chance.

If "the energy of McCarthy and the footballing brain and remarkable fitness of Gareth Barry" are that great. Why do we look cack when they play together?

I'm all for keeping Barry around until his contract runs down and giving McCarthy a pass for last season and saying he looked awful for the most part due to the general uselessness of the tactics / manager. But, I'm not all that keen on them being the first choice partnership.

I'd like to see some of the kids blooded, I wouldn't worry about players not getting a chance, if they're good enough they'll play. I'd even like to see Barkley given a chance at CM. Plenty of options and competition and let the best players / combinations play.

As an aside, I agree Mo Besic has immense potential. Also injury prone. I hope him and DG have an injury free season.

Much as I think he's a waste of money and space - given we've just signed him for two years, I guess we have to pray he gets and stays fit, pray he develops energy levels like he's never shown, and takes this chance.
