Not really LL, most of our squad qualifies as home grown really, no danger we'd need gibson for that

Strange choice to resign him though, the thought of him featuring much at all doesnt fill with optimism - rather see davies play than gibbo
If a lot of moves happen we are under the 8 that fills out a squad, @MoutsGoat did an interesting thread about it

We currently have 12 HG players.
Hibbert, Osman, Gibson are out of contract, Lukaku and Stones are heavily linked away, Barry could look to move on, same with McAleny, which would leave us with only 5 HG players.

Why let him go? He's still decent when fit and hardly plays. Better to keep him here on a reasonably average wage than go out and buy someone who will hardly play to replace him. He is back up cover for injuries, it makes sense in what is already a small squad.

What's the use in a back up player that's always injured?
