Thing is with Usmanov, he could really be tempted to join Moshiri at Everton. Moshiri has came in and is in the process of rebuilding us, and if we have a good (dare I say it, very good) season, there is no reason why Usmanov wouldn't want to join us in my opinion.

He must be getting seriously frustrated at Arsenal, and if he sees potential with Everton there is no reason he can't come in and take us to the very top. I'm probably sounding insane and in dreamland but I honestly think it's a tiny bit more realistic than some think. Plus that itk on the other forum seemed adamant.

Exciting times either way.

I think the gut-feel of a lot of fans is that Moshiri is front-running at Everton for others, primarily Usmanov.

I agree.

The DoF appointment will be key on recruitment tho.
Getting Monchi could be a huge deal. By the sounds of things, he knows his stuff but hasn't had money. He could have the most money he's ever had if we got him.

Low risk, possibly very high reward in my opinion.

I believe he would pay of as some sevilla fans regard him higher than Emery

He and Koeman have vast knowledge of many leagues so could find a real few quality players

They do. He has been at the club for about 20 years now in one capacity or another. Monchi (who once signed Arouna Kone) has re-committed his immediate future to Sevilla and has apologised for trying to leg it.

When Man City was bourght by Mansour in August 08- in his first season in charge, the transfers was of a similar supposed budget Moshiri has in place:

FROM FEE DATE
Jo CSKA Mosc. £18,000,000 02 Jul, 2008
Tal Ben-Haim Chelsea Signed 30 Jul, 2008
Vincent Kompany Hamburg £6,000,000 22 Aug, 2008
Shaun Wright-Phillips Chelsea £9,000,000 28 Aug, 2008
Glauber Berti Nuremberg Free 31 Aug, 2008
Pablo Zabaleta Espanyol £6,450,000 31 Aug, 2008
Robinho Real Madrid £32,500,000 01 Sep, 2008
Wayne Bridge Chelsea £12,000,000 03 Jan, 2009
Craig Bellamy West Ham £14,000,000 19 Jan, 2009
Nigel de Jong Hamburg £18,000,000 21 Jan, 2009
Shay Given Newcastle £5,900,000 01 Feb, 2009

Total: £121,850,000

In the space of a few years they were competing- would we attract players of this quality

I think it slightly daft to say we in for a similar budget this summer. 121 million? Perhaps... But back in 2008 121 million would buy you a hell of a lot more.

Transfer fees must have doubled since then (at least).

Bought some quality (didn't realise kompany cost so little) but wasted an awful lot of money looking at that list. I'm sure koeman will be more selective in his purchases (quality over quantity).

Moshiri is spending upwards of 500m here in his first year, new stadium, 150m on transfers, buying out managers and DoF at the drop of a hat.

It all points yet again to him laying the groundwork for Usmanov to come here, Moshiri is worth 1.3bn but he's committed nearly half his wealth, everything points to him having an investor lined up to join him.

Moshiri and Usmanov tried for nearly 10 years to play the game and get control of Arsenal, that was never going to happen, Kroneke has only increased his control in that time.

Everything points to Moshiri sharing his control at Everton with his best mate and business partner Usmanov, I'm sure of it.

Cant see him spending his own money on a stadium mate, with or without Usmanov.

They love Prem football mate, they are loaded beyond their wildest dreams and have more cash than they ever could need.

The way the money in Premiership football stands, Moshiri is only laying out to gain in the future, Everton is only going to increase in value, he will not lose anything if he funds a new stadium.

Usmanov seems quite happy at Arsenal. You have to ask the question why didn't he come to Everton with Moshiri if he was going to come here at all.

I wonder if the media attention Moshiri is getting currently is making Usmanov slightly envious, throughout their businesses and in terms of wealth Usmanov is the big cheese out the pair yet it's Moshiri in all the papers appearing to bankroll a prem team, whilst Usmanov is in the shadows as a minority stake holder in arsenal. The only way he'll leave arsenal for us is if his ego gets bruised enough he comes here as part owner and spends big (or awful to think another club and goes it alone).

Moshiri won't fund the whole stadium out his own pocket, but he'll have to put some of his own cash in Imo. I would imagine it would be something like (very rough figures example) £50 million own cash, £50 million naming rights, £50-60 million from TV deal this year then a further £130-140 million loan put out on the club against future TV revenue making £300 or so million for the new stadium.
