Well the lesson to be learnt here for next time is that you really should sack your underperforming Manager when it requires, and not wait/dither/procrastinate until the end of the season.

This "extensive search" with a recruitment firm should have been conducted months back.

And it shows they had no intention of sacking Martinez.

yeah i mean with all his bonuses on top of his wage his 'take home' at the end of the season would be significantly more than the 1.3 mil he reportedly earns flat rate, as he keeps qualifying for Cl and winning trophies...so wed have to top that straight away ..

So last night everyone was made up over Emery and today we're back to thinking its Moyes. What's changed over the past 12 hours?

We need to hear minute by minute updates about how enthusiastic Emery is about the Everton project, how happy he is with the £100m budge, his £5m a year contract offer and which house in Formby his wife is looking at. The moment that stops... blind Moyes panic takes hold of us all.

Spurs were quite something in his first season though weren't they? Not a clue what caused the big collapse the season after.

I've read in the past that he didn't have a good grasp of English and was over-obsessed with fitness and diet as apposed to technical training. He banned Tomato Ketchup and cakes which is just tight. Tom Huddleston had ketchup on everything and was caught with his own bottle in his locker after it was banned - so the story goes.........

OK so down to the serious business now lads, we need volunteers to monitor incoming and outgoing flights 24 hours a day until the announcement.

Select an Airport and monitor all flights and if possible get hold of a passenger list from somewhere.

If we got Emery and Sky Sports News actually took it's tongue out of Jose's @rse long enough to talk about other clubs they'd probably just focus on how he didn't win any away games in the league last season because we're not aloud nice things.

If The Esk said the name of the manager he think would get the job, then a lot of people probably would bet on him to come, and if he was wrong then lots of people would have lost money and many would blame him for their lost money. ( Obviously its still their own fault that they made the bet, but this is how the mind works of too many people).
