Well from 12months ago and yes I know the source is grim :

Sources in Sevilla have indicated that Emery would prefer to stay with the La Liga club for at least one more season, particularly with the prospect of Champions League next season.

He had that in the season just gone so maybe the big appeal has waned a tad. He can bequeath CL footie to his successor and leave the club as a hero. If it doesn't work out for him at Everton, he returns to Spain to a new job in time as his stock there would still be so high.

If we did get Emery, Aldo would twist it to make it all about them, Everton only went for him to annoy RS fans etc.

My RS mate has already said if we got Emery it would only be because Sevilla beat the RS, and that none of us had heard of Emery before the Europa league final.

I know nothing about Emery apart from the obvious, three European wins on the bounce is some record.

I just can't get my head round that away record. I'm not following us around the country to see us get tonked on the road every week. Had enough of that at home this season.
