It's very common for senior executives to take up non-exec roles - in fact it would be unusual not to.

My experience of NEDs is that they bring a wealth of expertise, advice and nous to help deliver the strategy which should meet our objectives.

My own experience is seeing them hired to improve the profile and standing of the company (and of course expertise i suppose lol )

Well I have to say this is all sounding very exciting and promising for the future. It's like we're transitioning from a "Trotter's Independent Trading" operation into a Blue Chip company. The Mosh means business!
