This is the lie though isn't it. NATO has failed to keep peace in Europe. As demonstrated in former Yugoslavia and Ukraine. EU member states on the other hand, now we're all sat round the same table, are at peace.
As for air and beaches, it's a massive plus from me. The environment has benefited and as a consequence my children will.

My curiousity with all of this is to what effect would the country want to rid itself of the EU? There is some regulations due to come in very soon which is of great interest to me, i'd rather not see them implemented and probably a few million others as well. Would the country effectively take things like that and throw them away/reverse them or would they start a new, go on the basis of how things are and go from that point instead?

It you sat down sensibly and looked at the subject objectively you would see a lot more arguments for staying in the EU. A lot of the arguments to leave are based on unfounded insecurity and misplaced nationalism.

The EU did a great job of policing VW and the airborne particles from their diesel engines....

If you seriously believe that the EU and not NATO has been keeping the peace all this time then it's pointless debating that particular issue........

Can the EU be blamed for big corporation deception? Or will they hold them accountable.

Actually there's a lesson in that whole affair for many of those who favour little government and corporations...
