....he's the Irish horse racing magnate. There was talk about an Irish horse racing owner being involved in the deal and I said it could only be one of three; J PMcManus, John Magnier (who has an interest in Man Utd) or Michael O'Leary (owner of Ryanair).

As above.

Didn't McManus and Magnier both fall out big style with SAF over a horseracing matter...shares in a very good horse, or something. I thought they lost interest in Man Utd at that point? Maybe not ?

They did. Settled out of court if I recall. All to do with stud fees/actual ownership of a horse. I want to say Queto Star, (?), but my knowledge of horse racing is that the good ones have 4 hoofs. @Eggs

Ah ok. So combine his €775m euro worth with Moore's £500m reported worth. Close enough to a Billion.

I'm in.

I'm sure I read somewhere that JJ Moores's wealth has grown considerably and is a billionaire now in his own right. His estimated fortune was $650M some 10 years ago and since then has grown, also Noelle is also a billionaire too.

pure speculation of course I don't claim to be their accountants however it does not matter how much Wonga they have if they don't have the club's best interest at heart

The same association which embarrassed the fanbase at the last AGM? No thanks. They don't represent me as a supporter nor thousands of others.

And it's a company. Because you shop at Sainsburys do you want details of their Argos acquisition?

But genuinely, its clear your concerns come from caring therefore I understand the points you're making.
Genuinely, the shareholders association are looking to uphold the directors responsibilities as company directors.
If you find tough questions embarrassing then maybe this topic is not for you.
Excuse me, but there's no need to start getting funny. He's been respectful with you.

I've seen a lot of people questioning Moores wealth and saying he isn't a billionaire.

He has an estimated wealth of £500m (making him over 15 times richer than Kenwright). What people are forgetting is that it's reportedly a consortium trying to take us over, not solely Moores.

Charles Noell is a billionaire, as described here:

....indeed it ended in court. I think the horse was Rock of Gibralter who was a present to SAF. The horse turned out to be very successful which meant his stallion/stud worth was millions. i think Magnier argued that the racehorse was SAF but ownership reverted back at stud. The matter was settled out of court. Not sure if Magnier retains an interest in United but SAF is very into his racing.

The Echo finally reporting what NBC tv commentators reported during the EFC vs Newcastle game last week - that Moores & Noell were in Liverpool the week before, for talks with the club and were shown around Finch Farm:

The American investors closing in on a takeover of Everton flew to Liverpool for secret talks with the Blues before the recent FA Cup win over Carlisle United.

The ECHO understands that John Jay Moores and Charles Noell were in the city on the weekend of January 30/31 to make progress with negotiations about their £200m bid.

Former San Diego Padres owner Moores and Baltimore-based Noell were chauffeured from Manchester airport to the Hilton hotel in Liverpool One on the Saturday.

They then held talks with Blues officials 24 hours before the FA Cup fourth round 3-0 win over Carlisle United at Brunton Park, which they did not attend.

It comes as the pair, also believed to have been shown around the club's Finch Farm training ground recently, were finishing their due diligence period on the Toffees accounts.

They are now at a stage where a deal in principle is close to being finalised to buy the majority shareholding in the club.

Everton have declined to comment.

Even better. Nice one.
