No you did not watch i think , It was almost direct question , does Robles deserve chance after 7 clean sheets , and answer was no in martinez kinda way u know bla bla but ,nothing You dont bring Howard down if u say look this guy is in better form . Hart was on bench for Pantilimon when he hit bad patch, Prove u are better I m just saying hes protecting some players way to much for this level

He has one great game in ten at the moment for us. That's not consistent enough to warrant a place in a squad pushing on at the top of the league.

I think the best thing for all concerned would be to patch him up now asap and then loan him next season to a decent club in somewhere like Scotland or Belgium. See how he gets on there and then take a decision.

Life is tough at the top and I'm really not sure this lad has the fight in him.

There is clear evidence to suggest he's possibly too soft for this league. In terms of both his physicality and his mentality (remember that little ballerina pirouette against Chelsea at Goodison? ).

The jump to the premier league perhaps came too soon.

Not at all. Turn that on its head for a second. The herd mentality on here has put Barkley onto a pedestal of the world's next Messi and has Besic not far behind. At the same time the groupthink wants to dictate that players like McGeady and Osman to name but two are beyond terrible. Worse than that most posts on those two are also littered with personal attacks.

I think Barkley is a very good player. Just off international class. Has loads of potential and the jury is still out for me as to whether he will achieve that. I think Besic has everything to prove and I question whether he has the physical attributes to ever make it in the Premier League. Osman has been a decent player for us for a long time. Not terrible in any way. He'd done a job and is seeing out probably his last year as a squad player. McGeady came on a free and unfortunately it didn't work out. I have never said that either Osman or McGeady are anything close to Barkley in terms of talent and skill.
