Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I imagine it'll be confirmed after the United U21 match which ends at 9. Been hearing reports too they'll announce him at 9 so fingers crossed.

Niasse will be announced about 9.30, just enough time to say we couldn't work on other transfers until this was done. The walk in centre is too busy to do more than one medical.

Yep, again, McNulty stating that we had a fee agreed for Yarmolenko in the summer, then Kyiv moved the goalposts. Seems we went back in with an offer that matched what Kyiv wanted when they shifted back in the summer, but they weren't willing to sell at all this window.

@BlueToff @Eggs well done for spotting Andrade had his contract with bournemouth terminated. At face value seemed a top deal for us after watching him first hand but something is clearly wrong with him.

This is such a weird transfer window. Clubs have additional funds in summer and clearly prices will increase then so why not make moves now? This whole "no value" in January argument makes sense when looking at £13.5mil for Niasse who (as @bluestevon says) has basically had a good last 12months. Its even more mental considering 13.5mil knocked back for Slimani by sporting whose no spring chicken and in a poor league.

However, there IS value, Dembele £6mil + Horn £6.5mil are just two examples.

I'm likely way off here but signing s previous journeyman player in Niasse whose just had a good 12months seems very odd indeed. I was expecting that if we were in for Yarmolenko in summer we would be in for someone at least similar to him but this guy is totally different...i just hope he's coming in now with a view to being competition for Yarmolenko (or similar) on the left and Lukaku from the summer when we sign some top players.

@Blue Cheese i think we simply must be waiting till the summer to sign a keeper. Whether thats due to Howards influence in the dressing room or Martinez main target available then who knows...but this is a good thing rather than last year when we were strongly linked with dross like nyland and Marshall.

Next window is going to be scary seeing the prices going round after the TV money floods in. Marseille have turned down a 20 million quid bid for that Batshuayi we were linked with last year.
