I reckon you could have won some shiny things with the squads he has inherited.
Mental isn't it? Walks into an already extremely good Barca side with an at-the-time world's best player in Ronaldinho and a future prodigy while Real Madrid were recovering from the initial Galactico's disaster. Then takes over a treble winning team. He's done well like but you do wonder how well he'd do with Leicester in the Prem.

I thought Gibson would be figuring in some rumours. Surely he needs more first team football to ensure a place in Ireland's Euro team.
There was a rumour he was going to SWFC with McGeady but this morning there was an article saying he won't be leaving this window.

If the season was going differently I'd agree, but I think a real argument could be made that the club would benefit more from giving Mason Holgate a chance should Coleman miss more games.

Holgate has never played in the senior team and he's a centre back mate.

We need Oviedo. Was superb against Carlisle on the left. Galloway is class, and is going to be class, but Oviedo is still a cut above in terms of attacking.

A real argument could be made and it would go like this.

"We should play Holgate at right back instead of Oviedo"

"You mean drop Oviedo who has looked alright at right back and put an untested youth in instead when the entire team is lacking confidence?"\

"Yea mate that's my argument" Edit: I'm American. It would actually be, "Yeah dude, that's my argument."

I don't see Bobby letting him go, plus they would only offer us pennies as he only has 6 months (+ optional extension) left.

There are always going to be arguments for and against when to give a young player his first opportunities, with the only universal truth being that at some point the club have to find out what they have in a given prospect.

Given the options of blooding a player when a team is battling for Europe, battling against relegation or stuck in the middle of the table, I'm going to vote for number three, although I understand others feeling differently. There's no exact science to this.

MCGEADY'S MEDICAL HAS SHOWN A POTENTIAL ISSUE

Did he spend the night round Gibson's and things got out of hand?

I completely concur. There is an argument he has taken Bayern backwards?
I'm sure they won the CL prior to his arrival?

Been busy for a few hours with work...what have I missed.

Niasse is finishing off the contract details

Some donut on Twitter had people believing for a few hours we were signing Roman Eremenko before admitting it was a wind up

Fourth Official on Twitter went fishing for bait by tweeting that Adnan Januzaj was at Finch Farm, as not many realised that the U21 game with United had been switched there cos of a problem with the pitch at Southport

I would generally agree, although i'd rather he played than Cleverly at the moment. Should have moved a few of these on earlier and replaced with one decent midfielder...

I know, but I think at the moment this would not be a great time for it. The crowd and the team are collectively nervous any time we have to defend and with the media finally wising up to Martinez he could get a lot of attention if he makes a mistake. I don't know why he hasn't started one of the cup games yet though. I would suggest that selling an established squad player to make room for a youth player is fine, just give them a few games in the team before that happens though. I wouldn't be too happy if we binned off a reasonably decent squad player for someone barely any of us have seen kick a ball.
