The average wage thing came from either the echo or the guardianThose wages were totally in-correct, mate.

That's probably a little off but correct in a magnitude way. Another site has him on 20k

LOL
Mirallas 127k week
Yeah mate, those figures are totes legit.
McGeady is on 65k and so is Pienaar.
Pienaar definitely is - think it was well documented at the time he re-signed. That seems really steep for McGeady though, surely?
A horizontal pitch is too steep for McGeady ffs.Pienaar definitely is - think it was well documented at the time he re-signed. That seems really steep for McGeady though, surely?
Aston Villa are too far gone but surely someone like Sunderland might be desperate enough this month?
As ive said, he was a "free" transfer, he came from Russia where he was on 75k a week.
Im not quite sure how people think we have a wage bill of 69m, but its certainly not by paying players 35k a week.

Fair enough. From what i'd seen, we paid around £500k for him, so not exactly 'free' (even in the loosest sense of the word). Ridiculous to be paying him that much if it's true though.
