Cheers, don't think I've seen him play even for a minute so have been intrigued by what tyoe of player he is.

Lacks the frame to be a Rom.

Don't think I've seen a minute of him play so have been intrigued by the consistent links.

If I'm not mistaken, he made his full debut for Fulham against us in 2013/14 - when we beat them 3-1 at Craven Cottage. He played okay as well, and from the very brief highlights I've seen of him in the Championship, has looked like he's continued to develop. Would want a more experienced back up - if we go for one - though.

Might be controversial but instead of trying to buy young talent for the future or the next great young player, i think what we need right now is a Richard Gough, Davy Weir, or an Alan Stubbs type i.e centre back, coming to end of career, bags of experience and could do a job organisationally for 2 seasons as injuries and suspensions require?
I agree but who?

Still in CL; will spend in Jan so likely to finish above us now we seem to gift other teams points on a whim; professed to "love" Chelsea - a team desperately in need of a regular goal scorer ........

What's not to worry about?
A run of 3 or 4 without scoring would land him on the bench for Costa going into the Euros

If this is the truth which I hope it and we also offload mcgeady to Celtic this will free up wages and some money. Who are we realistically going to get ? I think we really need to look at tactics as what we are doing is entertaining for the neutrals but no good for us .. I feel we need a solid centre half - not ball playing type but just tough strong Wes Morgan type of player as we look soft at the back .... Thoughts ?

Wouldn't mind a punt on Andre Carillo,
Claudio Ranieri holds him in high regard,
Contracts up in June, he's outright refused to sign an extension, so he'd go pretty cheap.
Think he'd be an absolute steal.

Theres a lot of talent going for free this year, with the likes of Caceres to add some experience at the back.... by the sounds of things hes ready
to flee Italy too, but its just structuring his wages....

@Dithering Dougie you mentioned about Naismith playing several positions so we'd be weaker squad wise without him. I think Cleverley can play all across midfield so would be the "utility" player.

@noel early i have read about Byram so many times over the past few seasons as weve been linked to him several times. Hes meant to be top notch at that level BUT ive said before that i dont understand how he doesnt have any England youth caps--hes quite high profile so it seems odd. If were not planning on giving Pennington,Holgate or Kenny games then seems like a good signing. Could be more of a "Martinez" type player than coleman as well (who knows).

@LinekersLegs i never hear anything but was told Dembele was being scouted every game and we had a "senior acout" watching him a few weeks ago...from what i was told and have seen he looks like he would be quite similar to a Martial. I could see him playing at left wing then gradually moved into the CF position.

Any updates?
McGeady - Celtic
Osman - Hibs
Naismith - Norwich ( @jinkyali looks right!)
Mirallas - Monaco
Gibson - anywhere

Still think we will do £15mil or equivilent in loans to buy this window.
