Nah. At the minute I'd be more than surprised if we made 55pts & got to the final of the pisspot & 5th rd FAC.

The pros of great attacking football massively outweighed by diabolical goalkeeping and defending. I loathe moyes but his record stands up better than Martinez. It's been a frankly disgraceful past 6 weeks.

You know the manager is clueless and weak and it hurts you.
We will always take you as a plotter when you eventually wake up to realism.

I think the manager needs the young defenders to do that. Mr Stones gets way too much slack cut. He has appalling judgement. No top team will touch that.

Anyway, to the thread topic. the defending can be largely sorted with a new GK. It's all to play for in the second half of the season. I'd play Robles every game until the summer.

Something is very wrong with every aspect of our defensive game. We'll do nothing in the league until we address that. I am not sure the current coaching staff can address it. Keep Martinez and get new defensive coach. Wish his assistant would get a job offer: neat way of solving our problems. But even we were to win a cup, I need to see more robust defensive performances (the clean sheet against Newcastle was a false dawn. We looked fragile defensively against them).

60+ points had been reached only five or six times in the past quarter of a century mate. I'd take it now in a heartbeat. A good marker down.

Spent half his GOT life hammering him.... now saying it's good enough, on the hope that like Moyes this manager can get us going in the 2nd half of the season.

A season widely acknowledge as a massive chance for teams with squads like us.

I think its pretty good context in a moment when many are in max fume mode.

As is your stats with regards our poor win %.

Taking all in context, I am still in the Martinez In camp.
