Tim Howard

On the flip side it could be argued that he is a horrible arrogant creature who has shown his true colours in several interviews over the past 12months.

I may be way off base but its a case of when you think a sports player is a "good guy" and then like an onion his layers begin to peel off.

It's not about the performances for me anymore...after the last quotes about not caring about fans criticism he can do one.

Do you have a problem with his age?

To be fair ...

Swansea
Tottenham and
Soton plus today.

I'm no fan of Howard but lets give credit where it's due
I was not being funny I could not remember any clean sheets lately, old timer memory not as sharp as it was, still like a better keeper though, but my main worry is keeping the better players in Jan, an in the Summer we have to get up that league keeping clean sheets if possible v the lower teams!

Just shows the agenda some people have. We win with a classy performance, scoring some beautiful goals, keep a clean sheet and Howard pulls of a couple of wonderful saves, yet somehow the haters still want to have a go and this is the busiest thread on here.

Sad, very sad.
Doug I felt sorry for him as it must have been freezing with not much to do, I have posted him credit for two good saves in the 2 Nd half, not many crosses today though!
He can be a very good shot stopper saved us with that Mori back pass;)

Don't swear
No i have a problem with him being an abomination of a human being.

In most other jobs he would have been sacked.

"abomination of a human being" WOW JUST [Poor language removed] WOW..

There's been plenty of uncalled for insults hurled at Tim Howard on here but that is by far and away the most ridiculous and uncalled for.

You should be ashamed of yourself and will no doubt rightly receive a thread ban to prevent you throwing around such awful insults about Everton players.

Dear lord, he's plainly mean no angel in his, not so private life, but that's no reason to sack someone.

From what you've posted on here, you're hardly a shining light of moral clarity, so maybe people who live in glasshouses and all that ?

What are you trying to say Woolly?

Well, to go off-topic for a moment, I fancy Zat and want to bum him senseless.

Anyway, back on topic, Howard's done fine since Robles last played. Maybe Robles display was the wake up call he needed ?

Nein, he's had less to do, hence him looking good. Our back 4 has been better.

You're right that he's had less to do, but I suspect the stick he's had on social media and, more importantly, the ( for Martinez ) thinly veiled criticism he got from Roberto has made him realise he needs to up his game.

I'm sticking to my guns on this one as ive always done with him...putting his playing ability to one side:

A-- He's written lies in a book about a fellow professional (Friedel) and had to remove them due to them being libelous and slanderous. This alone is pretty shocking.

B-- He's stated now in several interviews how he doesnt care about any criticism. The way he came across in each interview as arrogant and smug doesn't sit right with me and anyone doing their job to the best of their ability should use criticism to improve themselves.

C-- The latest comments about not caring what us fans think. Well, from a purely business perspective he would be sacked as an employee for making comments that he doesnt care what customers think.

Moving on from that onto his playing ability....well, its all been done to death really. As for his personal life he's doing tattoos and getting girls to have abortions despite supposedly being a strict christian....seems to be a bit of a fraud/hypocrite to me.

I just dont like the man. He's not the sort i want at the club....compare and contrast with Tim Cahill for example.
