Tim Howard

didn't say they are. Neither Howard or Robles is a good option atm. Just pointing out even in defense of Robles if we keep screwing up at the back and giving people free headers, not closing down on crossers, etc he'll struggle as well.
The problem is howard... how many of them crosses should he come out and claim ?? he's a coward..... defence have no trust in him or confidence.... he is a liability

open your eyes ffs.... he is the problem
I've said he's been bad and today he should've made a decision and came out instead of getting stuck in no man's land. Just pointing out that we need to cut out defensive lapses and giving away free headers and the like. If Robles gets some run fair enough, just hope we cut out the mistakes and he isn't expected to save free headers

Fine, so who do you recommend?

Joel for now. Give him a chance. He never should have been dropped last time as that's not how you treat players who are in good form; you don't drop them instantly for bigger names who've had terrible seasons.

But I'm not saying he's the answer. I honestly don't know, but I'd like to, so playing him would be good. Some have mentioned Valdes on loan. I think that's ambitious. I think the Bundesliga has many great keepers personally, and the clubs there can't resist Prem level offers.

Ultimately though the old 'if you think we should get rid then tell us who we can sign instead' thing is a bit silly. I'm a fan on the Internet. We have many people paid good money to scout and sign players. If Tim Howard is as good as we can muster then someone needs sacking.

That's reasonable. The problem, as I see it, is that we're stuck with Howard and Robles for the rest of the season. I'm all for dropping Howard after the last few matches -- he's in bad form right now and shouldn't be undroppable. Robles terrifies me, though. That Barnsley match was worse than anything I've ever seen Howard do, especially taking into account the level of the opposition. And it was less than three weeks into the season, so I don't really buy the idea that he was rusty from sitting on the substitute's bench for too long.

Nothing robles has done has been as bad as what howard has done
