John Stones transfer saga

you can bully me on the internet as much as you want for thirty-forty grand a week whatever he is on. Crying!!!??? what a shame lad when I was 21 I was in the armed forces taking home about a £900 a month he needs to get a grip. This drama is going to go to the wire with no doubt leaving Everton in a crap position as usual with plenty for the media to ramble on about. Thank God last nights game was a good old fashioned cup tie that was entertaining and exciting because modern football really is starting to put me off, its sad not just being about 90 minutes on a saturday afternoon anymore.

One thing I've noticed in the current scenario and previously. The figure in the background doing the 'minding' of John Stones, in a subtle way, is Steven Naismith, and it was Naismith who almost instantly made exactly the right comments to the media after the Mirallas penalty incident. I think there is an indication that the value of Naismith to Roberto goes beyond any value on the pitch.
Naisy rocks and we need to find him a job when he retires. He is as sound as they come.

Indeed unilateral is the key for it means either of the parties on their own could end the agreement.
that is not what it means in this context. it refers to the agreement being one both had a part in. in fact what you read stated that slavery is unilateral, not that someone can unilaterally end it or it is slavery. Isn't that the opposite pretty much.

Can we just all put this 'crying' issue into its proper context?

This is a 21 year old lad who over the last few days has been under untold stress. You can say he brought it on himself - fine; you can say he gets paid a king's ransom - no doubt. However he's a young lad who for all his talent and financial reward will never have been mentally prepared for the stress he's now going through, played out in front of thousands of fans, and based on what I've seen of the lad he is probably agonising over what fans think of him versus what we believes he wants to do with his career.

The lad is mega stressed - classic signs - and crying on the spot like that is a sure fire indication of the extreme anxiety he is feeling, not because he's upset about being called names or whatever. Try and ringfence that perspective, and put aside the fact that he is talented, privileged, etc.

You may still feel that he should grow up - fair enough, but just understand why it probably happened.

agree with this and also think it is something to consider not just with the fan's reaction but with the media. If they want to watch young players playing with freedom then it is time to lay off them

Wow.

Irrespective the employee can be considered akin to salvery ( that's what I said from the off) if he/she doesn't have the ability on their part to unilaterally terminate the arrangement

This is going to be very interesting to see how it pans out. Bobby's response before and after the transfer request has been "not for sale", and I would love to be a fly on the wall when he's speaking to Stones.

Biggest test for the club since Rooney.
I think the best outcome would be that Stones withdraws his transfer request and makes a statement on the lines of " didn't realise how valued I am by the club and its fans" etc..

People going way overboard with a couple of fans shouting abuse at stones... Barkley gets worse whenever he misplaces a pass....
Yeah I was glad to hear Carragher saying he was at Goodison Park a few weeks back & thought evertonians needed to keep it zipped! because everytime Barkley done something wrong, the whole crowd were on his back & it was the same at Watford on the 1st game of the season.
He said last season he was suffering from a lack of confidence & it's no wonder. Imagine when you're at work, and everytime you done something wrong, the whole building started pointing and moaning at you.
Luckily he seems to be back to his old self, with no help from you bullies!
