John Stones transfer saga

You obviously never had a tough decision to make about the rest of your life as a 21 year old...
No mate, to tell you the truth I wasn't privileged to be in a situation where I had to make a decision like John Stones'. My heart goes out to him and all footballers going through such stressful times...

Let's call it a truce and respect each other's views.

If he stays I will support him as long as he comes out and says the right things. If we are keeping here against his will for a year by force, then so be it.

You think that as a kid growing up wanting to play football that he did it for the money and not for the game. That's your major flaw and downfall right there.

If you're chatting bubbles you're going to get pulled up on it.

Disgraceful that video. A 21 year old lad is likely being offered a ton of money to leave no-ambition Everton for the Premier League Champions and some divvy wants to abuse him.

"Hope Terry sh*gs yer missus" did make me laugh, though.

I know it was an option for moyes to choose between who to sell but the issue is he was forced to sell someone

Exactly. That's where the comparison comes in. I don't believe Martinez is being forced to sell. I honestly believe we're not selling him. I've said all alomg "£60 million or GTFO."

He can't even hold us to ransom; he's quite possibly the first player ever to be on Anichebe wages, yet subject to a record transfer for a defender to Roman and Jose.

Not really any need for it, wouldn't do it myself, but given the media coverage and the fact that feelings are running very high I'm not going to get on my high horse about it.

We've all heard similar abuse at Goodison when someone's had a bad game, never mind stuck a transfer request in near the end of the window. Doesn't make it right, but lets keep it in perspective.
