John Stones transfer saga

I think maybe his reference to the authorities was about keeping the transfer window open after the season starts. But I guess he could have meant the blatant tapping up from Chelsea.

Still fear an arteta style deadline day scenario.

I think we're going to hold onto Stones. The board are receiving money a plenty from various streams (the tv deal being the big one), so they're not desperate for a return on their investments, they're already making money from everton! I believe Kenwright loves the club and isn't wanting to just cash in on stones in the remaining few days and not spend a penny as some have suggested. He also wants Everton to become a great successful club again, just like Martinez. In order to do that, they know they have to hold onto their prized assets. We're not in a position were we need to sell, just like they've said from the start, I'm starting to believe they're going to keep to their word.

Dear Chelsea,

Kindly do one,

Up yours, GOT xxxx

The interesting part of the interview for me was the pause, just before he said 'Money can't always buy you everything'
Every good speaker will know how to deliver a pivotal part of a message, and RM didn't let anybody down in his delivery.
Also I was very impressed in how he talked about the circus of the window, and how he will look after Stones. I am sure there have been many conversations with the manager and player, and it appears to me that Stones may well of been badly advised and has made a very rash decision.
Hopefully this is the end of it all now, and we can get on with the season
It may work out that tonight's result and statement will give the team the impetus to go on and deliver a good season....here's wishing
