Yes, its [Poor language removed] position to be in and we've probably gone arse over tit about it but still....you've got to admit £24million is a ridiculous amount of money.

Hopefully the Arabs will write the cheque "To Mr David W Moyes" and not "Everton FC" so he can spend it all.

Im putting faith in the board to give the funds to Moyes after todays performance though. If not, something's wrong.

As I've said we've got 9 days to sign 5-6 players. Tells you all you need to know.

Joleon Lescott and Manchester City have ripped us a new one, sadly. Unless superman helps us out with the transfers, lets hope so.

People laughing at City for buying our first choice centre back and leaving us with Joseph Yobo and an injured Phil Jagielka with 9 days to go in the transfer window.

It is good money for him, there's no doubt about it but the situation we are in is ****ed up with a captial F. I really hope Moyes has some players lined up, I really do.

Realistically who are we going to sign now? None of the CL clubs from any country are going to want to sell their best players at this point, even if we offer shitloads. I doubt good players will want to a club that they probably won't have heard of and is at the bottom of the league table. If we get it wrong again and sign Fellaini for 15mil or whatever I'll be devastated.

should av let him rot in the reserves.....

well yav got the money now.. hurry an strenghthen soon as moyes... the window clock is ticking... 1878 COYBB

Yeah but Man City have paid over the odds for a player and we have lost an importnat player.

And a club who can't sign decent players for [Poor language removed] have £22m.

Yeah things are looking good, bet City are gutted about that loose change they just lost[/sarcasm overload]

Agree that things aren't looking good atm. However, we could also have ended up with an unhappy Lescott on our books. He has shown he had a piss poor attitude of late. At least, now we have a chance of improving our squad. Lescott was gone as a player for EFC. Prefer having the money myself.

If we just take on board Citeh will finish above us and hope we'll come top 10 at the end of the year, will that be okay to swallow?

Do you wish he stayed then?

We should sign Alan Hutton from spurs(6 mill), Steven Taylor(8-10 mill), get Banega on loan, and a winger maybe Petrov from city(3 mill), and if we can get another CB on loan then better, just don't spend our entire budget save some of it for next summer.

Agreed. We had to sell Lescott in the end, having an unhappy player who wishes not to be at the club has a detrimental affect on the whole atmosphere. Lets just hope Moyes spends the money on four or five really good players. By the way, do City have to pay us compensation has Lescott was under contract or will that be included in the final transfer fee??

If I was manager he'd be getting bitch slapped and made to play.

But what can you say, Moyesy obviously lacks my physical prowess.

Not happening in today's climate though is it? Lescott's agent, Citeh's reps etc etc were probably all over the club for weeks telling him to release his "slave"....because as Blatter said himself, footballers are treated as slaves arent they?

Not if you haven't got a physique like mine no.

Lescott's a big guy, I don't blame Moyes.
