Lescott all over again he destroyed our partnership with jags and now finally have one with stones and now he is leaving as well. Defense will be considerably weakened unless we replace him with someone world class. Cb partnerships take time to build

It's all more than bizarre...

I think we will reject the request.

For what its worth i have been told throughout the summer Stones was more than happy at the club , the latest was ĺast wednesday.
Something has gone seriously wrong since then ,the lad must have been swayed somewhere along the line , he absolutely loves the club
totally trusts the manager and plays with a great bunch of players. I m not person who would like to be tagged itk but this is from two very close & trusted people. The whole timing of this means there is something woefully amiss here. Bad advice ? I think its more than that , the whole episode wreeks. I'm absolutely stunned.

I still cant believe that somebody who said this :

But Stones is happy to stay at Goodison Park as he looks to continue his development and become a regular for club and country.

"I am very happy at Everton," he told Sky Sports.

"My aim right now is to try to nail down a regular spot in this Everton team and hopefully that will take care of playing for England.

"I have to keep learning from the likes of Phil Jagielka and keep progressing at this club."

Less than 2 weeks ago has suddenly stuck in a transfer request.

Baffled I am.

you are very naive.
thats harsh

i'm not confident that barkley would be that rarity, that gem in modern football, but it does happen. Just have to cross our fingers and hope our board financially make it worth his while. Not blow clubs out of the water but give him a competitive wage that gives him a reason to stay with us.

Bloody hell at this post btw, stones and i'm trying to convince myself about barkely, everton that.

not so sure and if so it's almost meaningless now its taken so long

i swear west brom announced berahino had put in a request and that theyd declined it in the same breath. Certainly didnt give journos a free player driven headline (could be wrong)
