John Stones transfer saga

When Bobbie got asked about if he did this what would the club do and Hours Later it happens.

Come on Surely this is Fixed.

The only silver lining that could emerge from this debacle is that, if Stones is going and we've got a week to sort things out then the board can expect major major discontent (like 10x worse than the past two weeks) if 2 or 3 seriously decent replacements aren't signed in time. And that includes two decent centre-halves.

The more I think about it the more I think we should let him go.

If you look at it in reverse:
If Stones wasn't at the club, we only had one senior CB in Jagielka and we also had a £55m budget to work with. Would we want £35-40m of that to be spent on a 21 year old CB who didn't want to come to everton?

I don't think we would.

anyone else feel like giving up on this sport ? ,I've so many years invested in it,and now, actually probably the last 15 years more like, at the mercy of rich millionaires.
Yep. Its up to the club to make us feel otherwise bud. Ball is firmly in their court. I think they should be given the opportunity to respond before major fume sets in.

I'm taking credit for this. It was my in depth questioning that did for him.

In fairness he wrote his own suicide note:

If John Stones is sold @Woolly Blue can ban me for a month.

EFC have told all John Stones is not for sale at any price this summer.

I have this on good authority from a reliable source.

I confirmed who the sauce is to a reliable mod.

It's confidential to that mod and myself.

I stand by it. As it's true. Hence @Woolly Blue can ban me if it turns out not to be.

That's a daft comparison.

Stones will start many games for Chelsea this season.

Why is it a daft comparison? Chelsea had such a solid defence for years, people are reading far too much into their shaky start. They will get it together and the back 4 will be the same as it was last season. Just because he is bought for a high fee does not guarantee starts, see Felliani, Di Maria, Cuadrado, Filipe Luis etc etc

This has been coming for a long time really, hasn't it? As far as I'm concerned, Kenwright had every intention of selling Stones if the fee reached a decent amount from the start, like other people have been saying on here, he's been playing hard ball and it's apparently worked what with a £40m bid looking like it's coming in.

Let us not kid ourselves, Everton are a selling club, have been for a while and will be until we get fresh investment.
