John Stones transfer saga

I think we will sell, there's probably been an indication given out of the price we will sell at, and Kenwright has badly misjudged the shytstorm this will cause.

Ian Wright what a toss pot he really is, you could tell that he did not want to listen, The point is if we end up with a very good team under RM we will attract a buyer as BK will not last forever, and Paul{Esk } put him in his place by the way was his fly hole open?lol because he was talking through it!

I don't think £35million plus add-ons would be a bad deal. That being said, the board would be under serious fire if they sold despite public assurances to the contrary.

It really annoys me that the media keep pushing this story but that's nothing new for Everton fans I guess!

Hope we don't sell but wouldn't be the end of the world, providing the money is invested in two or three top players!

Wright has always been a useless pundit more interested in arguing with people and spitting his dummy out when he is wrong. Caught the end of another bloke on talk sport earlier who was also saying stones and Barkley will be sold as we are a selling club. Would love to know who it was?

It's not the loss of the player that would be a disaster - it would be the lack of ambition it would signal.

Therefore, we simply cannot sell him for anywhere near his usual market value, given the Premier League money next season.

Given Luiz and Sterling who went for big fees for two different reasons, you have to expect Everton would have to entertain something around £45m, but anything under that would be a very disillusioning to a lot of Evertonians regardless of who is brough in, as we have sold to buy rather than sold because it was in the best interests of the club due to the stupidity of the bid made.

Everybody's nervous because Chelsea have been thumped. The media are lapping it up and now little old Everton are bracing themselves for a big bid etc etc yawn bloody yawn!

This comes down to 3 parties, Chelsea, our board and Stones. Nothing else matters, so no point in getting wound up about it. If he goes it's because it is the right deal for Everton football club and because John Stones wants to go.

Pundits are a joke.

I agree that selling for anything less than a ludicrous fee would be a very bad move on the boards part. Undermines Martinez and solidifies the fans' perception of them.

These pundits just think that we should know our place, and feed the big global brand clubs where the real action and attention is. No doubt they expect to use the money to buy another rising star or two, develop them and flog them to another big club to keep the whole circus chugging along. Good old Everton but then it is not really about us anymore to these people.
