John Stones transfer saga

It's true, I've been told the exact same thing by two People some one from his girlfriends family and a lad they both went to school with, he as the choice of any club he wishes to play for he knows that for fact, and it'll never be Chelsea while this is the case. He also knows Everton will not let him go at this time and he's happy with that.
Stones has no reason to not ever play for Chelsea does he? Unless he has some livid dislike for them that no one knows about.
It wont happen now at this late stage, but if they agreed a fee for him with the club, Stones would be going there. I'd be quite sure and a mammoth pay rise helps

I don't know how anyone else can't see it.

He's an integral part of something special happening here.

This is the season when everything falls into place.

Martinez after the game yesterday pointed out that the team all played for each other and the result looked after itself.
It is the start and that feeling yesterday will intensify throughout all the squad until they are playing with all the freedom they wanted to have when they were growing up loving the game.

He wants to be part of that I believe so he has something to look back on fondly when he is firmly in the "business" of being a player at the very top of the game.

I wouldnt take £50 million even if it was offered the only way this deal should go through is if John Stones comes out and says he wants to go and why would he want to go to Chelsea for a relegation struggle when he could stay with us and go for the title?
If we were to sell for £50 million Barnsley would get 7.5 to 10 million, of the remaining £40 million Martinez wouldnt see half of that and a large chunk would be salted away by the Kosher Nostra.

what is really annoying is that none of these pundits are going to be invited on to explain why they got it so wrong in september. sources indeed. it would be a great show too if they were on for an hour being grilled as to why they should be paid in the future when they just make stuff up to pamper to sulking managers, and don't know a thing about the game

From what I here about the lad from people that know him money means absolutely nothing to the lad, he's already got enough to live the life he wants to until the day he dies with the contract he's on at Everton. It's not the club he dislikes it's the city lifestyle and the pace of life, he lives in a village over looking the Moors he walks his dogs every day on the old Pennine trail he's happy with life he's got everything he could wish for

this almost brought a tear to my eye and something people forget, a season in the prem and players are set for life. this decision to keep chasing cash is generally pressure from agents and the media who need to see turnovers etc.. it is pretty insulting to your average fan to talk about players being unhappy when they are scraping to get ticket money together. the media is so far removed from the average fan it is sick. lovely to here when a player sounds like he just loves playing

Iirc you also mentioned that his partner is in her last year at a Northern university as well, meaning if he moved to
Chelsea there would be a lot more travelling to maintain the relationship.

So now we just need to worry about Utd and City high money bids to tempt the board ;)
