Think I might buy the new Batman game tomorrow.

If they think they can get away with it, they'll do it
Microsoft only got rid of Connect coming boxed with the console once the PS4 steamed into the lead and did it as a way to try and stop the bleeding
If they think upping the console price with the VR helmets will net them more them more money even with less people buying consoles, they will do it. They will happily sell less units at a higher price. You watch, they will try and make it an essential thing. We'll have to see whether it works or whether gamers stand firm
I'm considering getting GTA San Andreas on my Mac, but I'm worried it'll look and/or play awful.
It was 'remastered' though, wasn't it? It's only £10 but It'll take an age to download on my internet connection. The game's 10 years old...looking bad is a given.

In the plus side I've just been playing Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Racer on the Dreamcast.
It's effing boss. Easily the best thing to come out of that movie.
Haven't seen that for such a long time.Boss little game, I loved the arcade version with the two handles.

Alien - Awesome. Make sure you play it late at night, headphones on, turned up to maximum, lights out.Anyone give Alien Isolation a try? And whens the next Fallout release due?
Obviously Wolfenstein Doom and Quake are the greats of the formative days of FPS but the multiplayer of Goldeneye on the N64 still has a cherished hold in a corner of my mind.
I'm trying to think of a peripheral that ever became "essential" apart from the controller...they've tried to push a lot of BS but it never works out. It'll be the same for VR.

Fallout is due out in November IIRC.
Spent many an hour on Goldeneye on the N64. It came out just after I joined the Navy. I was at A school living in open bay barracks. My friend had a N64 and a TV crammed in his locker, so picture about 8 guys all crowded around a double-width locker, 4 playing at a time, and the two lowest placed players swapping out. I hardly ever had to give up my controller (although I hardly ever won.....a perennial 2nd place on that game :/ )
