According to guardian Stoke have turned their attention to konoplyanka rather than shaqiri (guessing something to do with wages) and we're now going in for shaqiri!

as I say, others will come along and give it the but bla bla bla, but hes simply not a number 10.

so the place that he plays the best for out of the various positions isnt actually his best position then mate? Swizz national team has him at the no.10 spot (as he's their most talented player) and he plays a million miles better their than when he is pushed out wide as has been the case at Bayern and Inter.

Peter Cavanagh joins Everton's coaching staff from Southport
Peter Cavanagh has retired from football and left Southport just two months after signing for them to join Everton's coaching staff.

The 33-year-old midfielder had agreed to move to the Sandgrounders on a player-coach role for the season.

He will take a role coaching the academy at the Premier League side as part of Roberto Martinez's staff.

"I'm obviously disappointed to lose Peter but I understand his decision," said Southport boss Paul Carden.

.....I think he was one of the players caught up in Accrington betting scandal a few years ago for which he received a ban from the game.
