We may be interested in these players but nothing will happen until we sell someone, it's the same every season and you people should know that by now. By the time someone is sold all the good players will be snapped up, if only we had Stoke's chairman.

We didn't last year.

Football is changing for EVERYBODY. No longer do English clubs have to sell to buy thanks to inflation of TV Deals.

Everton keen on Switzerland star Xherdan Shaqiri as Inter Milan look to restructure their squad
  • Xherdan Shaqiri only joined Inter Milan from Bayern Munich in January
  • Everton are speaking to Shaqiri's former clubs to get an idea of his character
  • Toffees also keeping tabs on Brentford defender Moses Odubajo
Everton are back on the trail of Inter Milan midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

The 23-year-old Switzerland international only joined from Bayern Munich in January but Inter are looking at ways to restructure their squad and want to assess what interest is in the market for some of their players.

Although Roberto Mancini stated last week that Shaqiri has a place in his plans, finances may dictate otherwise. Everton are exploring options and have sounded out his former clubs about his character.

Shaqiri joined Inter on an initial loan with view to a £12.8million fee following to Bayern. Stoke were also in the hunt.
Given that Inter have accepted Stoke's offer (see tweet below from Di Marzio), the player is available and so the rumour seems somewhat credible

Lads, this is not the place to be discussing Stoke's transfers, please stay on topic (which means this thread should be pretty quiet at present), use the other clubs transfer thread or the speculation thread.

Any further discussion on the above in this thread will lead to threadbans for being off topic.

The idea of this thread is so that people with limited time can come and see what's going on relating to Everton. As I said it should be pretty quiet at present.

Christ there were fewer rules in nazi Germany than this place.

I'm struggling mate.

We are linked with Shaqiri, so have been chatting about him (and Mertens), Stoke have no bid for Shaqiri so we should not talk about him anymore? Even though we are still linked.

In addition, the Journalists who were very accurate and onto it in their reporting of the Henen deal are reporting

The idea is that some order here makes the site more usable than other forum, and that's born out by our traffic and awards.

It's not difficult.

Not difficult just needless, chatting on a forum isn't supposed to be regimented in to exact sections of the board with any mentions outside of the exact thread title banned.

STOKE AGREE SHAQIRI FEE

According to Sky Italia sources, Stoke have agreed a £12million fee with Inter Milan for Xherdran Shaqiri.

It is now up to the player where his future lies, having spent just six months at the club. He signed on a four-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee during the January transfer window
